When it comes to catering an event that is not a formal sit down dinner – food stations are always a winner! Food Stations are a fun, creative way to showcase the different styles and variety of foods available to guests. They also allow guests the freedom to pick and choose and something will always appeal to even the pickiest of palates. Take a look at our favourite food stations that your guests will just be unable to resist!

The Bakery Bar

Appeal to the senses and make your guests feel as though they are walking into a beautiful Parisian bakery – they will not be able to resist the array of freshly baked treats! Scones with clotted cream and preserves, danishes, pasteries, mini cakes, desserts and macaroons – allow them to indulge in a little slice of heaven at the bakery bar!

The Popcorn Pod

We love popcorn stations, it’s so simple yet so appealing! The second best aroma to freshly baked goods would have to be freshly popped popcorn in our books! We actually have our own popcorn cart which has huge visual impact! Lay out all the seasonings and toppings for your guests to choose from and they wont know where to stop! Caramel is a personal favourite! The display options for popcorn is limitless with a huge variety of bucket, baskets and signage on the market.

Fancy French Fries:

The French fries station is always a big winner at events – especially as the night wears on and people get a little peckish. Once again it is an idea that you can create and customise to your own liking with endless varieties and dressings. Start off with the option of regular fries, sweet potatoes fries or curly fries and allow your guests to mix and match with condiment options from bacon and cheese to truffle mayo!

Toastie Grill:

Everybody loves a nice comforting toastie so add it as a catering option and be prepared to go running to restock the loaves! This one is very simple just display a selection of breads, meats, cheeses and condiments and a panini grill and allow your guests to get creative and make their own creations.

S’more bar:

We did this recently on a terrace for an evening soiree and the guests absolutely loved it! Interactive food stations really draws guests in and entices them, even if they didn’t like smores they were lining up for the experience. Beside our (attended) cracking fire baskets we set up a smore station. All that was required was fireproof skewers, marshmallows, chocolate and crackers! Delicious!
