Product promotion and launches are areas in which Antoinette excels merging her vast industry experience and practical knowledge for each client’s benefit thereby bringing the brand to everyone’s attention. Spencer Simmonds

Artistic Events Director

Spencer is the energy and drive behind the business, with many years of experience in the events industry, a fountain of knowledge for those extra special additions to any event.
Always looking forward and worldwide to ensure our clients are offered the latest event trends to ensure we stay ahead of the game.
With a career spanning over 30 years Spencer founded Balloonman in 1987, introducing the wonder of balloon decorating to the Irish events industry for the first time. The business has expanded over the years into the areas of event management, theme nights and prop hire services.
In 1998 Spencer ventured to the US in search of inspiration and discovered that the use of custom made linens were becoming more and more popular in the events and weddings industry. Using his knowledge and contacts, Gotcha Covered was formed in 2004 and the company were the first to introduce customised linen to the events industry.
In 2013 Spencer broke away and diverted his energies fully into PLANIT. As the Co-Owner and Director of PLANIT Events Management and PLANIT Weddings, the market leader in Irish events management, Spencer brings his unique passion and enthusiasm to all events big or small and has a genuine interest in providing a first class experience for each client. Strong relationships with a network of high quality suppliers built up over many years ensures a quality and professional service every time.
In his spare time Spencer loves spending time with his three grown-up kids, travelling to hot climates and enjoying his varied music collection, a passion that started many years ago as a young DJ in Dublin’s famous nightclubs and regular slots on pirate radio stations. Not content with smaller audiences he was often found entertaining the crowds as a support act for the likes of Boomtown Rats and U2.

James Mahon

Graphic Designer

James has been with PLANIT since 1999 providing design support for all projects and events initiated by PLANIT. He is a natural designer moving easily between varying clients and is experienced in the practical applications of design, working closely with production to ensure designs are viable as well as innovative. He is available and interested in taking on new clients, new assignments and new ways of working and designing. He is involved in event planning in terms of design possibilities, and is obviously involved in preparation and ensuring implementation can go ahead as planned.
James is married 12 years to Anita and has two young children, Zoe aged 7 and Leo aged 4. James is unashamedly a devoted Aston Villa supporter and spends any free time he has at Bray Golf Club.

Brian Forrester

Logistics & Production Manager

Brian heads up logistic‘s, production and planning. Co-ordinating and integrating various experiences from Automobiles, Retail, Event Production and promotional campaigns. Brian studied Computer Science in DCU and his areas of expertise range from Technical, Woodwork, Metal work to Electrics, Brian has a practical brain which enables him to think logically and solve problems quickly. Moving from Unique Entertainment in 2002 to Planit, he has been known by many names “McIvor” “Action Man”, Mr Indispensible. His experience from a production level within the Events industry is invaluable.

Patrick O Brien

Graphic Designer

Patrick has been working over three years with the PLANIT team. His role as graphic designer aided in awarding PLANIT with ‘Most innovative supplier of the year’ for 2016 by Kuehne + Nagel (Ireland) Ltd. Supplier Awards design work throughout the year. This entailed Interactive online forms, Internal branding, Custom design display units, Brochure design, Logo design, and event design collateral. With over 15 years’ experience and a knowledge spanning all that is entailed in the design process right up to final output in respect of web, print, interactive design and creative technology.
Patrick’s passion for photography has awarded him with acceptance of Google business photographer and he can often be seen in his home town of Greystones, camera in hand.

Clint Tighe

Production & Logistics

Clint joined the Planit team in June 2016. Clint brought with him many skills from the building and construction industry, including fabrication.
Clint is the proud dad of six children with his partner Kylie. Living in Laois now, but stays true to his Dublin GAA roots at all times. Brave too as he admits to being a Manchester United fan.

Sonya Callan

Events Administrator

Sonya has been with Planit since November 2016, providing support and admin skills to the Planit team. Sonya has a keen eye for detail and during her career in Ryanair, and varied roles in Bank of Ireland she has also developed strong interpersonal skills and project management capabilities. Always happy to take on new challenges and learn new skills, Sonya strives to deliver the best service every time.
Sonya is married to Garvan, has two young children, Grace aged 9 and Ben aged 6. An avid follower of all things 80’s, dancing and in particular ballet, reliving her youth at her Wednesday night ballet classes.

Hazel Elders Gallagher

Event Co-ordinator & Marketing

Hazel joined the PLANIT team in January 2017. After completing a part time degree in Marketing and Event Management she fell in love with the events industry.
Hazel has a deep passion for marketing and event management. She is always on the lookout for new event technologies and staying on top of emerging trends. When it comes to creating, building and developing event concepts she delivers strategic planning, creativity and a strong enthusiasm on every project. Supported by a keen ambition to succeed, strong interpersonal skills, energised by networking and building relationships.
Outside of work Hazel enjoys creating all sorts of everything from anything, she also enjoys keeping fit by attending the gym and playing rugby with the team.
